John loves the techie and science stuff, and is the geek on the broadcast team. Originally looking to become a Marine Biologist, and then an Airline Pilot, John got hooked on Broadcasting, but still managed to become a Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot, and a PADI Dive Master and Assistant Instructor. So he still gets to play with the fish and in the clouds (when he finds the time) With a broadcast career that actually started here at WGNY, and transitioned to Radio and TV in Pennsylvania and Florida, and then on to ABC News Radio and WABC in New York City, and finally coming full circle returning to the Sunrise Radio Group of stations.

Hello! I have been in radio for most of my adult life. I got my start flying for Metro Traffic in NYC as a traffic reporter and also did the weather for WOR on one of the oldest morning radio shows in history, The Rambling With Gambling Show. For many years I was also the official female “voice” of WOR, voicing commercials, liners and promos. I am currently a radio weather broadcaster at AccuWeather.
In the mid 2000’s I began working at WJGK. I have been here on & off over the years and in quite a few different iterations! I am thrilled to now be co-hosting Mornings with John Roberts on Energy 103!
Here's the more personal stuff: My husband is a 3x Grammy winning music mastering engineer and does music as well as audio for film & TV. He and I are very involved in the Hudson Valley music festival and theatre & film scene, and we love being part of those communities. We have a now “grown & flown” daughter who is a busy singer song-writer who also has a band, is a music live-streamer and a voice actor. We have two Bernese Mountain dogs and are involved in the sport of showing dogs. We definitely call ourselves foodies, and are plant-based eaters - so the more vegetables the better!!!
Radio is, and will always be in my blood. Facilitating information to listeners and being a part of their community is what I do. It is where I feel most at home. I hope you will tune in and join me and John! Let’s get to know one another!
